About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Senior Technical Architect / Head of Engineering to lead the next phase of our investment portfolio management platform. This is a strategic role that combines deep technical expertise with leadership and product vision. You will work closely with the development team, product stakeholders, and leadership to define the technical roadmap, drive architectural decisions, and integrate cutting-edge technologies including AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Define and evolve the backend architecture to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
• Technology Strategy: Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools aligned with business goals.
• AI Integration: Lead the integration of AI/ML capabilities into the product to enhance analytics, automation, and user experience.
• Security & Compliance: Establish best practices for data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance in financial software.
• Team Mentorship: Guide and mentor developers, especially in backend and full-stack development.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Oversee deployment pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and system monitoring.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with product managers and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Code Quality & Standards: Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on backend systems and architecture.
• Proven experience with Node.js, Java, and modern frontend frameworks like React and Angular.
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience in financial software or investment platforms is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration in web applications.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices in web and financial applications.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of GraphQL, WebSockets, or event-driven architecture.
• Exposure to data visualization libraries and financial analytics tools.
• Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced product environment.
