Job Description

JOB TITLE

Senior Software Engineer - Test

Key Responsibilities

Design comprehensive and scalable test suites
based on business and technical requirements across web, mobile, and backend systems.
Author high-quality test cases
(manual and automated) covering functional, integration, regression, and edge scenarios.
Execute test plans and track results
, ensuring alignment with release cycles and sprint goals.
Lead the development and maintenance of automation frameworks (UI, API, backend) using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, PyTest, JUnit, Appium, Cypress, etc.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.) and maintain test health.
Identify, document, and track software defects, and collaborate with developers to drive resolution.
Champion a quality-first culture by driving shift-left practices and participating in design/code reviews.
Analyze test coverage and quality metrics to identify gaps and improve test efficiency and effectiveness.
Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to upskilling the team in test design and automation best practices.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in software QA, with deep expertise in automation and test design.
Strong skills in test planning, designing test suites/cases, and test execution strategies.
Proficient in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, etc.).
Experience with automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Appium.
Hands-on experience in API testing (REST Assured, Postman).
Working knowledge of CI/CD systems and version control (e.g., Git).
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps practices.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
