Senior Software Engineer - Test

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer - Test at MAF Retail, your primary responsibility will be to design comprehensive and scalable test suites across web, mobile, and backend systems. You will be involved in authoring high-quality test cases, executing test plans, leading automation framework development, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, identifying software defects, and championing a quality-first culture. Additionally, you will mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to upskilling the team in test design and automation best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Designing comprehensive and scalable test suites based on business and technical requirements across web, mobile, and backend systems. - Authoring high-quality test cases (manual and automated) covering functional, integration, regression, and edge scenarios. - Executing test plans and tracking results, ensuring alignment with release cycles and sprint goals. - Leading the development and maintenance of automation frameworks (UI, API, backend) using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, PyTest, JUnit, Appium, Cypress, etc. - Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.) and maintaining test health. - Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects, and collaborating with developers to drive resolution. - Championing a quality-first culture by driving shift-left practices and participating in design/code reviews. - Analyzing test coverage and quality metrics to identify gaps and improve test efficiency and effectiveness. - Mentoring junior QA engineers and contributing to upskilling the team in test design and automation best practices. Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of experience in software QA, with deep expertise in automation and test design. - Strong skills in test planning, designing test suites/cases, and test execution strategies. - Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, etc.). - Experience with automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Appium. - Hands-on experience in API testing (REST Assured, Postman). - Working knowledge of CI/CD systems and version control (e.g., Git). - Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps practices. - Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.,
