We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Technology team in Chennai What we do: Bright-River provides Visual Content services to the larger e-commerce and retail companies around the world. Our 2D and CGI visual experts deliver product visual content daily using our in-house developed platform and applications. Our Business Technology team is a dedicated team of engineers and developers working on our application stack and platform. We are spread across our offices in Chennai, Netherlands, New York and Bangladesh. What are we looking out for from you Want to work in a product based technology team. Technical and Professional Expertise: 1 to 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software test engineer. Ability to understand both functional and non-functional requirements. Strong Knowledge in Software QA Methodologies, Tools & Processes, ability to build a new QA environment. Experience in writing Clear, Concise & Comprehensive test plans, test cases, performance or security testing. Proven work experience in manual testing. Experience testing RESTful APIs or web services using tools like Postman or Rest Assured. Solid knowledge of MSSQL DB testing, SPA Web applications, API and backend technologies. Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum development processes Knowledge on Microsoft Azure Cloud will be added bonus Knowledge in implementing CI/CD technology using Gitlab, Azure DevOps ,Octopus, Jenkins. Fluent in English What you own or contribute towards: Using outstanding QA and testing skills, you contribute to the deployment and operations of our in-house applications. The applications are used daily by our Bright River colleagues and our customers. Prepare detailed comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback Plan and coordinate testing activities thoroughly identifying and documenting bugs Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. developers, operations and product owner) to identify system requirements Track quality assurance metrics like defect densities and open defect counts Analyze the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions Maintain relevant knowledge about new testing tools and test strategies Our teams work with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban. As a QA Tester, you should have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the related field. Your responsibilities will include analyzing user stories, use cases, and requirements to execute all levels of testing such as System, Integration, Regression, Performance Testing, and API testing. It is essential to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Reporting bugs and errors to development teams and having a strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes are crucial aspects of this role. Experience in working in an Agile/Scrum development process and familiarity with common issue tracking tools like JIRA and Bugzilla will be beneficial. You will be required to test client and server applications and collaborate effectively with all project roles across multiple project teams. Additionally, having knowledge of SQL Server Database for data testing and manual testing of APIs, along with experience in using tools like Postman, will be considered a plus. Key skills required for this position include holding a Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering/Science, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You should have 1-2 years of manual testing experience within a technical environment and a solid understanding of project management methodologies, principles, and practices. Having experience in software development or the software lifecycle, coupled with programming knowledge and a strong technical background in web and/or mobile applications, will be advantageous. You are a skilled Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure engineering.
