As an SDET II at Roambee, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites using Node.js, Playwright, and Jest for web and API testing. Your role will involve identifying and eliminating flaky tests to ensure stability and consistency across pipelines, working with QA Leads and SDET I to enhance test coverage, and collaborating with developers on shift-left testing. You will write clear, reusable, and modular test code, analyze test results, and assist in maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated regression and smoke tests. Additionally, you will support manual testing during major release cycles or critical bug fixes and contribute to documentation, guidelines, and reusable QA libraries and tools. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, along with 2 to 7 years of software QA experience emphasizing test automation. Strong JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills, practical knowledge of Playwright, Jest, or similar automation tools, and experience in identifying and resolving flaky tests are essential. You should have a solid understanding of web technologies, APIs, backend interaction patterns, and tools like Git, Jira, and CI/CD systems. Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills are also required.
