Your Team’s Impact
The Benchmarks team is a multi-regional team that is focused on building and maintaining financial data pipelines and database systems, as well as creating operational support tools that allow our systems to run effectively. We specialize in the development of tools to improve processes and maintenance of existing infrastructures that extract index data from data vendors, transform these data by applying financial logic, and load to our internal databases consumed by FactSet’s clients globally.The team closely works with other departments within the company to ensure that FactSet’s products and technologies are responsive to the changing needs of the investment community.You will be working with our full-fledged scrum team which deals with two-week sprint iterations. Our applications shape the user's experience and drive FactSet's growth through technological innovations.
What You’II Do
- Work with other engineering teams and foster effective communication and collaboration across the team and stakeholders.
- Work on curating, tuning the DB.
- Provide technical solutions and guidance to team members to ensure they follow best practices with DB interactions, handling reusable code
- Oversee testing processes and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Work in an agile team environment and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth product delivery.
- Complete the tasks assigned which ensure high reliability and performance of our products.
- Learn and understand the current infrastructure that the team maintains.
- Guide and support junior engineers in their professional development.
- Independently handle and execute assigned tasks effectively.
- Ensure that deployed products are adequately maintained throughout their lifecycle, including participating in on-call responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
- 5-7 years of industry experience
- Strong hands-on experience in SQL Server, Postgre SQL.
- Experience in Python.
- Experience with working on cloud technologies.
- Experience with terraform is good to have
- Good understanding of Agile practices
- B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent
