Job Summary:

CMOD Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain CMOD components (OnDemand Server, ODWEK, Loaders, Object Servers) and manage application groups, applications, indexing rules, folders, and retention settings, including handling AFP, PDF, and line data formats.
• Build and support document/report ingestion workflows, set up load sources, indexing, and batch ingestion processes, and automate ingestion pipelines using scripts and scheduled jobs.
• Develop automation scripts using Shell/Python/Perl, support integrations with upstream/downstream applications through ODWEK APIs or web services, and assist with debugging ingestion and retrieval issues.
• Monitor CMOD performance, caching, indexing, and storage utilization, optimize archival strategies for large repositories, and collaborate with infrastructure teams for storage pool and backup management.
• Provide L2/L3 support for ingestion failures, indexing and retrieval issues, analyze logs, run diagnostics, resolve production problems, and ensure system stability, security, and compliance.
• Document ingestion flows, configurations, and operational procedures, work closely with DevOps, Infra, ECM, and business teams, and participate in testing, release cycles, and production deployments.

Required Skills:

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience with IBM CMOD administration and support.
• Strong understanding of application groups, indexing configuration, folder structures, and loaders.
• Knowledge of AFP/PDF/Line data formats and document ingestion processes.
• Proficiency in Shell scripting and SQL for job automation and debugging.
• Experience working on Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analysis skills.
