Senior Software Architect

Location

We are seeking a Senior Technical Architect specialized in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O).

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,

or a related field.

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365

F&O, including at least 3 end-to-end implementations as a technical architect in the banking

sector.

• Qualifications: Up-to-date Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations

Apps Solution Architect Expert.

Technical Proficiency:

Core Technologies:

• Strong knowledge of D365 FO, Life Cycle Services (LCS), and Azure DevOps, including

source control, gated check-ins, and pipelines.

• Proficiency in X++, .NET development, C#, and web services (REST/SOAP).

• Experience with DIXF and Azure Data factory.

Azure Services:

• PowerApps, LogicApps, Common Data Service, Azure Functions, Azure Blob and Table

Storage, Azure Event Grid, Azure Service Bus, and Azure API Management.

• Advanced knowledge of Azure Licensing and Azure cloud platform.

Integration Patterns:

• Experience with synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns.

• Experience with interfaces (SOAP, REST, Data, custom services) and Data

Management .Framework’s integration methods (BYOD, Recurring jobs, Data Migration).

Customization and Security:

• Extension approach to customization versus over layering.

• Role-based security design and customization.

•Extensible data security.

Report Development:

• Report development and integration with Power BI (embedded and external).

Additional Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, and Data Lake.

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server.

• Experience with complex data migration strategies and tools.

• Experience with cloud-based architecture and deployment strategies.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Experience in creating D365 integration architectural design, solution designs,

blueprinting, integration diagrams, and data flows.

• Hands-on experience in configuring and customizing D365 FO modules.

• Eligible for UK BPSS.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the initial phase of client projects, leading technical workshops and providing design guidance in areas such as extensions/modifications, data conversion, environment provisioning, and application integration.

• Work with customers and end users to define technical requirements and ensure they align

with established customer requirements and performance goals.

• Lead technical workshops and design sessions with Business SMEs, ensuring the technical direction is consistent with the client's long-term strategy.

• Fully understand the capabilities and limitations of the technical environments of the

applications used by the enterprise.

• Ensure proposed gap resolutions fit in the overall architecture and business logic of Dynamics AX.

• Take overall technical responsibility for the technical aspects of the project environments

until system handover, ensuring internal development guidelines are understood and applied

by the development team.

• Ensure the technical quality of developments and supervise the work of technicians, whether

they are working onsite, onshore, or offshore.
