Senior SAP Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Accountant to join our corporate finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all accounting functions related to SAP systems, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, and supporting financial reporting, budgeting, and audits. This role requires deep technical knowledge of SAP FI/CO modules and the ability to analyze and improve financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations within SAP (FI/CO, MM, SD).
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing in SAP.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, sub-ledgers, and financial statements.
• Lead the preparation and analysis of financial reports in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes using SAP tools and reports.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for process improvements and SAP optimization.
• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation for accounting procedures and SAP workflows.
• Provide training and support to junior accountants and other SAP users in the finance department.
• Identify opportunities for automation and increased efficiency within the SAP system.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CPA/CA preferred).
• Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience in a SAP ERP environment.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP reporting tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of tax compliance and regulatory reporting is a plus.
