Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Sales Engineer role based in Andheri East, Mumbai. The Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales growth through technical engagements with clients, providing technical support, and developing tailored solutions to meet customer needs. Additional responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, collaborating with technical teams, preparing sales and technical documentation, and fostering client relationships to ensure high satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across industrial sectors (Pharma, Chemical, Food, Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Visit potential clients, present Company’s products and solutions, and understand customer needs.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and services.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Technical Consultation:

  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education & create Market Pull
  • Understand client applications and recommend suitable machinery and systems.
  • Coordinate with the design and production teams for customized solutions.
  • Quotation & Proposal Handling:

  • Prepare commercial and technical quotations based on customer requirements.
  • Follow up on submitted proposals and negotiate contracts to close deals.
  • Client Relationship Management:

  • Maintain long-term relationships with customers for repeat business.
  • Provide after-sales support and troubleshoot any product issues.
  • Market Intelligence:

  • Track competitor activity and market trends, their market share
  • Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams.
  • Gather data on Market sizing  for Company products /potential


Qualifications

  • Strong background in Sales Engineering and the ability to apply technical expertise to meet sales objectives
  • Experience in Sales and Customer Service, with the ability to build and maintain business relationships
  • Proficiency in Technical Support, including troubleshooting and resolving customer issues
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial machinery (Vacuum pumps, blowers, compressors, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and offer tailored solutions
  • Willingness to travel extensively for client visits
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM tools, and report preparation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a client-focused approach
