To strengthen our presence across India, we are seeking senior professionals who already possess strong connects with architects, consultants, and project management consultants (PMCs) in their respective regions, and can lead the initiative of getting Gatemaan specified and approved in key projects and end-client lists.



Role Summary:


The Manager / Senior Manager – Specification & Consultant Relations will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with architects, consultants, PMCs, and large end clients. The primary objective is to ensure Gatemaan’s inclusion in the approved vendor/specification lists, enabling consistent project inflow through consultant recommendations.


This is a high-relationship, strategic role ideal for a professional who already has deep-rooted networks in the building materials, mechanical systems, or industrial products domain.



Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and build strong relationships with architects, consultants, PMCs, and large end-user clients in the assigned region.

• Drive Gatemaan’s specification and approval process to ensure our products are included in project tenders, BOQs, and approved lists.

• Conduct technical and product presentations, meetings, and demonstrations to promote Gatemaan’s product range.

• Leverage existing relationships to generate new project opportunities across verticals like pharma, industrial, commercial, and infrastructure.

• Track major upcoming projects from design to execution stages and ensure continuous engagement with key influencers.

• Coordinate with internal sales, design, and operations teams to ensure technical documentation, drawings, and proposals are aligned with consultant requirements.

• Provide market intelligence on competitor specifications, consultant preferences, and project trends.

• Represent Gatemaan at industry events, exhibitions, and technical seminars to enhance visibility.

• Maintain a structured CRM or database of consultant and architect contacts and project pipelines.

• Report regularly on progress of specification activities, project tracking, and approvals achieved.



Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• Experience: 8–15 years in Specification Sales / Consultant Relations / Institutional Business Development in the construction, mechanical, or building systems industry.

• Proven network and working relationships with leading architects, consultants, and PMCs in the assigned region (Mumbai, Chennai, or Bangalore).

• Strong technical understanding of project-based products such as doors, automation systems, mechanical/electrical equipment, or building materials.

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.

• Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
