About This Role (Responsibilities)
Senior Revenue Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze revenue transactions to ensure data accuracy and proper accounting treatment within the ERP system (
NetSuite
) and the revenue system (Zoura Revenue /
RevPro
). - Prepare and review monthly revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses in compliance with
Company policies
and US GAAP (ASC 606)
. - Collaborate closely with
GL Accounting, Billing Operations, and FP&A
teams to support all month-end close activities. - Drive cross-functional projects and process improvements impacting revenue accounting and reporting.
- Support the design, implementation, and execution of
key revenue controls
and system enhancements
within NetSuite and Zoura. - Draft and maintain
whitepapers
and documentation related to revenue policies, controls, and accounting positions. - Participate in
system migration, automation, and integration initiatives
in partnership with the business systems team. - Identify and execute opportunities for
continuous process improvement
to enhance accuracy and efficiency across revenue workflows.
Do You Have the Right Ingredients? (Requirements)
Must-Haves:
4+ years of experience
in revenue recognition or revenue accounting, preferably within the SaaS or technology industry. Bachelor’s degree
or higher in Accounting or Finance. - Strong working knowledge of
ASC 606
and its application. - Proven ability to perform complex revenue accounting tasks and apply accounting guidance appropriately.
Advanced Excel skills
with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets effectively. - Hands-on experience with
Zoura Revenue
, NetSuite
, and Salesforce
. - Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills
, with the ability to simplify complex accounting concepts. - Demonstrated ability to work
cross-functionally
and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. - Willingness to work in
UK and US time zones
to support global accounting operations and monthly close cycles.
Special Sauce (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with
SQL/Sequel
. - Professional certification such as
CPA
(Certified Public Accountant) or CA
(Chartered Accountant). - Experience in
system implementation, process automation, or ERP migration projects
.
