Senior Revenue Accountant

Role Overview: As a Senior Associate at Chargebee, you will play a crucial role in GAAP revenue recognition, reporting, compliance, and analytics. Your responsibilities will include analyzing complex data sets, developing reporting tools, ensuring financial accuracy, and driving process enhancements. You will collaborate with global teams and support org-wide projects. Additionally, you will be involved in audit coordination and presenting insights to senior management. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations in compliance with GAAP accounting and company policies. - Analyze large revenue data sets to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities. - Drive process enhancements using advanced Excel, AI, and BI tools like GBTs, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational activities with financial outcomes. - Support org-wide projects such as ERP transformations, systems integrations, and automation initiatives. - Assist in audit coordination and provide auditors with necessary documentation. - Ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies and proper documentation. - Present findings and insights to senior management during period close meetings. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Chartered Accountant (CA) designation required with Big 4 accounting firm experience. - 2-4 years of progressive accounting or financial data analysis experience, preferably focusing on revenue recognition. - Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with large data sets. - Experience with ERP systems, BI/reporting tools, and AI tools. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead initiatives, and deliver results under tight deadlines. - Excellent communication skills for presenting financial and analytical insights to senior stakeholders.
