In-country is a British education management company, launched in 2016, with a team of over sixty people across Delhi, Lahore, and the UK. We manage the South Asian student recruitment operations for multiple blue-chip international universities, as well as work on creative and exciting projects for a host of others. 

In-country is looking to appoint a Senior Recruitment Officer as the dedicated representative for our client, Queen Margaret University, Scotland.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced professional to take the lead in international student recruitment and engagement. As a Senior Recruitment Officer, you will play a key role in delivering recruitment and conversion strategies, strengthening partnerships, and supporting Queen Margaret University’s growth in India. Main Duties and Accountabilities:

• To maintain public status as an employee of In-country India and not as an official of Queen Margaret University at all times.
• To represent Queen Margaret University at education exhibitions, school visits, and other outreach activities, meeting potential applicants and guiding them on the University’s programmes, entry requirements, and unique strengths.
• Rolling out In-country’s strategy to deliver the university’s student recruitment goals, in line with the company’s services to the university.
• To engage with offer holders and prospective students through calls, email campaigns, and other outreach initiatives aimed at conversion.
• To explore opportunities for Queen Margaret University to develop institutional partnerships in India by researching potential collaborators and introducing them to the University.
• To oversee data capture from events and agents, ensuring GDPR-compliant storage and transfer of data between In-country and Queen Margaret University. To ensure that leads gathered from such activities are recorded accurately on In-country’s monitoring systems and are followed up on to drive conversion.
• To contribute to the execution and planning of conversion, agent outreach, school outreach, and marketing strategies for Queen Margaret University.
• To plan and deliver events targeted at enquirers and offer holders to support In-country’s conversion strategy for the university.
• To support departmental visits to India by University officials, organise in-country recruitment activities and provide logistical support.

Communication and Liaison

• Advising the University on the content and relevance of marketing collateral for the Indian market.
• Rolling out In-country’s agent communication strategy for Queen Margaret University.
• Developing and maintaining productive relationships with schools, universities, agency partners, and other key stakeholders in India.
• Conducting market research and providing market intelligence on India to the University’s wider International Recruitment Team in Scotland to inform strategy.
• Identifying and targeting schools across India to increase Queen Margaret University’s brand visibility.
• Engaging with school counsellors and delivering sessions for students to raise awareness of the University’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Handling daily enquiries and ensuring timely responses to agents and prospective students.
• Submit weekly activity reports (detailing actions and outcomes) by the end of each week.
• Supporting wider University-led projects and initiatives when assigned.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification/relevant professional experience).
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent presentation and public-speaking skills, with confidence in addressing large audiences.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities/projects.
• Proficiency in data handling and analysis, with experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• A professional attitude and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Initiative and problem-solving ability; able to think quickly and act decisively.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness and ability to undertake extensive travel within India.
