Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Automation Test Lead located in Maharashtra, India. The Automation Test Lead will be responsible for process automation, troubleshooting, developing test cases, ensuring quality assurance, and leading automation initiatives within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks for API and UI testing.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using Selenium with Java and REST-assured or similar frameworks.
• Perform end-to-end testing of RESTful APIs, including validation of response codes, payloads, and schema.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality at every stage of the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, test planning, and defect management.
• Mentor and guide junior QA team members, sharing best practices and helping with technical upskilling.
• Maintain version control and test scripts using GIT.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest improvements.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of experience in QA Automation, with strong knowledge of Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience in API testing using tools/frameworks such as Postman, REST-assured, or Karate.
• Good understanding of TestNG or JUnit.
• Hands-on experience with GIT (branches, merges, pull requests).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) is a plus.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Prior experience in mentoring or leading junior team members is a strong advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.
• ISTQB or other testing certifications.
