Senior QA Analyst – Power BI Report Testing

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Power BI reports migrated from MicroStrategy
• Validate data accuracy, transformations, and calculations by writing and running complex SQL queries against large datasets
• Ensure functional parity and consistency between legacy MicroStrategy reports and new Power BI reports
• Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify testing scope
• Perform regression, functional, and data integrity testing across multiple data sources
• Identify, log, and track defects; work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution
• Preferably, implement and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, TypeScript, or similar tools to increase test efficiency

Required Skills and Qualification:

• 5+ years of experience in QA, with a focus on BI/reporting solutions with some cloud based experience
• Must have Strong SQL skills with the proven ability to write complex SQL queries to test large data sets that exceed 1 million records.
• Hands-on experience testing Power BI
• Familiarity with test automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and scripting in TypeScript, or similar preferred
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and relational databases
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience with MicroStrategy is a plus
