Job Description

A specialist in the field of Planning for Project and Program Management, for Process Automation projects primarily in Oil & Gas Industry. Should be well conversant with planning tools like Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project / Project Online. Experience in Oil and Gas Industry will be an added advantage.


RESPONSIBILITIES

◆ Project Planning

Work with Project manager and project team to breakdown to WBS and relevant activities and plan the complete project life cycle. The planner should carry out delegated activities to support the production of workstream and project plans that identify and organize all the activities needed to deliver project objectives and that comply with the organization's project management framework.

All scheduling plans should be baselined and used to report progress against the agreed baseline. Re-baselining as and when required should also be done.

◆ Project Reporting and Review

Support the Project manager in preparing weekly / monthly look-ahead plans and support project teams during walk throughs. Planner shall coordinate with project stakeholders in collecting project completion data and prepare progress reports including S-Curves.

◆ Data Collection and Analysis

Extract relevant data from information provided by others, and input it into spreadsheets or standard formats.

◆ Work Scheduling and Allocation

Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieve expectations while following established timelines.

◆ Continuous Improvement

Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements. Should understand lessons learnt and get them implemented in work processes.


◆ Document Preparation

Organize and prepare complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for special reports.

◆ Project Close-out and Handover

Draft elements of product documentation and user training to support handover to business as usual. Contribute to post-project reviews and identification of lessons learned.

◆ Personal Capability Building

Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level


Experience

Total experience of handling planning work is expected to be 7-12 years. Should have experience of managing team of new planners and their skill-up.
