Job Summary:

Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, simulation, and development of
power electronic circuits
such as DC-DC converters, AC-DC rectifiers, and DC-AC inverters.
Develop
control algorithms
for power electronics applications (motor drives, renewable energy, UPS, EV charging, etc.).
Perform
circuit simulation
using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, or SPICE.
Drive
PCB design and layout
for power electronics hardware, ensuring thermal and EMI/EMC compliance.
Conduct
prototyping, testing, validation, and troubleshooting
of hardware designs.
Ensure compliance with
safety, regulatory, and reliability standards
(IEC, UL, CE, etc.).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, firmware, testing) to deliver robust solutions.
Prepare
technical documentation
, design reports, and test procedures.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and review their designs.
Stay updated with
emerging technologies and trends
in power electronics and suggest innovative improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Electrical / Electronics Engineering
(Ph.D. preferred).
7+ years
of relevant experience in
power electronics design and development
.
Strong understanding of:
Power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC, GaN).
High-frequency switching converters.
Magnetics design (transformers, inductors).
Thermal management techniques.
Hands-on experience with
control strategies (PWM, FOC, digital control using DSP/MCU/FPGAs)
.
Proficiency in
simulation and design tools
(MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, Altium, OrCAD).
Experience in
hardware debugging and lab equipment usage
(oscilloscopes, power analyzers, etc.).
Knowledge of
reliability, safety, and EMI/EMC compliance
.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
Strong communication and ability to work in a
team-oriented environment
.
