Senior Performance Automation Test Engineer

Weare seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer specializing in Automation and Performance Testing to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will lead efforts to design, implement, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and performance testing strategies. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and performant software products

The role required working in CST Hrs : 7pm - 4 am IST remotely as per project requirement and later Work from office (once the project is done)

Role and Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
• Writing and executing automated test scripts using tools like SpeedScale, WebdriverIO, K6 or Gatling
• Developing and executing performance testing strategies using tools like Artillery, JMeter, SpeedScale or Gatling.
• Analyzing performance test results and collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Leading test efforts by assigning tasks, running status meetings, and participating in sprint planning.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align testing strategies with business goals and ensure high-quality releases.
• Driving improvements in test coverage across unit, functional, and load tests.
• Identifying, tracking, and resolving software defects using tools like Jira or AWS DevOps.
• Mentoring junior QA engineers in best practices for automation and performance testing.
• Staying updated on industry trends and advocating for process improvements to enhance the software development lifecycle

Requirements

• Min 10 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience developing test automation frameworks and performance testing strategies.
• Proficiency with automation tools like WebDriverIO, Playwright, Protractor.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like Artillery,K6, JMeter or Gatling.
• Should have good hands-on work experience on Artillery.
• Strong programming skills in languages like , TypeScript, JavaScript
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automation with tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and QA processes.
• Provenability to debug complex issues and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to Have:

• Experience scaling large web applications and maintaining high availability services
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of E-Commerce and subscription systems
• Experience with AWS is desirable
• Knowledge or experience of E-Commerce systems, Product Information Management (PIM) solutions
• Working experience with ElasticSearch
• Familiar with third-party backend API integrations
• ISTQBorsimilar QA certifications.
• Experience with Netlify environments
