How will you make a difference?

The Senior Payroll Lead, APAC is an Individual contributor role, responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations across multiple regions, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and company policies. This role involves leading payroll processes, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving process improvements to deliver accurate and timely payroll.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years' progressive experience in Payroll, as a payroll specialist, payroll administrator preferably in a Shared Services environment and in a matrix organization.
  • Proven experience managing multi-country payroll, preferably across APAC regions, global exposure is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP, RAMCO) and HRIS palatforms
  • Ability to maintain a thorough understanding of the payroll cycle
  • Oversee the processing of benefits, such as insurance, vacations, and retirement plans
  • Experience in global payroll operations and process standardization and identifying areas for continuous improvement
  • Experience with HR systems, specifically Workday
  • Good proficiency with MS Office Suite with an intermediate level in Excel (pivot tables, charts, and vlookups)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

What will your typical day look like?

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, reimbursements, and final settlements for APAC countries, with potential extension to global scope
  • Ensure timely disbursement of salaries and statutory payments (e.g., PF, ESI, TDS)
  • Maintain and update employee compensation records in HRIS/payroll systems
  • Lead payroll audits and prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll data.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for payroll issues, identifying root cause and path to resolution to ensure continued service improvement.
  • Monitor best practices, industry standards, local requirements; implement changes to internal processes as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Develop and implement payroll procedures, controls, and best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to align payroll with organizational goals.
