Senior Network Engineer, Security and SDWAN

.In this role, you will be a senior technical expert responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing enterprise networks for clients across multiple regions. You will handle complex network and security challenges, implement advanced SD-WAN and firewall solutions, and ensure high availability, performance, and compliance. This position requires hands-on expertise with Cisco, Arista, and other enterprise networking platforms, alongside the ability to troubleshoot critical issues and mentor junior engineers. You will work closely with global clients, providing timely support for escalations and acting as a trusted advisor for secure network operations. The role combines technical mastery, strategic thinking, and client-facing communication in a fast-paced, remote environment
Accountabilities
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise network and security solutions, including Cisco FMC/FTD, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security issues, including connectivity, policy conflicts, malware detection, and DDoS incidents.
- Implement and optimize SD-WAN solutions (Cisco/Viptela/Versa), configuring network policies, dynamic path selection, and integrated security features.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and Arista switches, including VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, ACLs, NAT, and EtherChannel.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for technical issues, driving P1/P2 incidents to resolution with clear client communication.
- Partner with global clients and internal teams to ensure reliable network operations and adherence to best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to operational excellence, process improvements, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience implementing and managing multi-vendor enterprise network solutions.
- Expert-level proficiency in Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC), FTD, and other Cisco security products.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise LAN/WAN, SD-WAN technologies, VPNs, and network security measures.
- Strong knowledge of advanced security features, SSL certificate management, and troubleshooting high-volume environments.
- Experience collaborating with clients in US, Europe, and APAC regions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage client expectations and handle escalations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Relevant security certifications are a plus.
