Senior Microbiologist

1. Maintain the laboratory and its activities as per the SOPs.

2. Receiving, handling and storage of samples.

3. To verify temperature and relative humidity monitoring and maintain its documentation and records as per the SOP.

4. To verify Environmental monitoring and maintain its documentation and records as per the SOP.

5. To verify Media preparation and maintain its documentation and records as per the SOP.

6. To ensure and verify proper sanitization of laboratory is done especially working area.

7. To verify Decontamination of Materials and Fumigation in lab area is done.

8. To verify cleaning, hygiene and disinfection of microbiological laboratory area and to ensure cleanliness of equipment and other general areas of the laboratory by applying cleaning schedules correctly and within time scales.

9. Verify and maintain the records for verifications, inter-mediate checks, performance verification, preventive maintenance and history record of equipment’s / instruments used in microbiological laboratory.

10. Verify and maintain the records for receiving, handling, and storage and approval of microbiological media, reagents, and supplements.

11. Indent media, chemicals, reagents, glassware, consumable items etc. for purchase and advise Laboratory Management on low stocks of consumables.

12. Preparation and verification of STP, SOPs, protocols, test formats, LIMS, and other documents as per ISO 17025:2017 requirement.

13. Participation and complete involvement in customer and regulatory audits/visits.

14. Perform field sampling of food and water as per SOP.

15. To carry out testing as per standard methods, customer’s prescribed method and in house method with due regard to safety, accuracy and with minimal delay, allowing for appropriate short-notice prioritization of samples.

16. Participation in internal and external QA's and relevant proficiency testing as and when required.

17. To ensure the maintenance of all technical document and records in line of ISO 17025:2017 e. g. quality of distilled water used for microbiological analysis, records for decontamination of microbiological waste, environmental monitoring including temperature & relative humidity, external calibration of equipment’s, fumigation etc.

18. To promote team spirit in all laboratory areas.

19. Continue to develop requisite skills and knowledge by participating in training and development opportunities.

20. Assist with quality system requirements as allocated by the Quality Manager, and to complete this work within given time scales.

21. To ensure all data generated by themselves is managed and contains all the information necessary to allow a true and accurate interpretation of results. The information must be completed/data entered within deadlines of work completion and to accreditation standards.

22. To take responsibility to report out of specification (OOS) results.

23. Ensure there are no contraventions of code of conduct, HSE, 5S, GLP & GDP principles.

24. To develop, modify, verify, and validate the methods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
