Job Description

Sr. Merchandiser - Manufacturing Div.

Managing the entire process, acting as a liaison between buyers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods. Key responsibilities include creating and managing the time and action plan, sourcing materials, overseeing production, obtaining buyer approvals, and coordinating logistics and shipping. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a detailed understanding of trade and regulations.

Key responsibilities

Order management: Manage the full order lifecycle from receiving the initial order to final shipment.

Planning: Develop and manage a detailed "Time and Action" (TNA) calendar to ensure all steps are completed on schedule.

Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between international buyers, vendors, and internal departments like production, sampling, and quality control.

Sourcing and production: Coordinate with suppliers to source fabrics and other materials, and oversee the garment production process, including sampling, to meet buyer specifications and deadlines.

Quality control: Ensure products meet quality standards and obtain buyer approvals at various stages, such as for samples and final bulk production.

Logistics and shipping: Coordinate with shipping departments and logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.

Documentation: Handle all necessary export/domestic documentation and understand national/ international trade regulations.

Costing: Prepare cost sheets and negotiate prices with suppliers.

Required skills and qualifications

Education: A bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field is often preferred.

Experience: Experience in merchandising, export operations, or logistics is typically required, with similar roles having atleast 5 to 7 years.

Technical skills: Proficiency in documentation and a strong understanding of international trade regulations and requirements.

Soft skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills are crucial.

Other skills: Cultural competency and customer relationship management are important for working with clients.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
