About the Role:

Senior Merchandiser – Beauty


Key Responsibilities:

1. Assortment Planning

  • Develop and curate the right product mix across formats, shades, and price points customized for each retail channel.
  • Analyze sales data and customer insights to identify trends and optimize assortments for maximum sell-through.
  • Work closely with global and regional teams to align assortments with brand strategy and local market relevance.

2. New Launch Execution

  • Drive timely launch execution, ensuring stock availability, visual readiness, and marketing alignment.
  • Monitor the performance of new products post-launch, and recommend strategic actions for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to ensure effective communication of new introductions.

3. Inventory Management

  • Track stock levels, sell-throughs, and replenishment cycles to maintain healthy inventory across channels.
  • Minimize stockouts and excess inventory by implementing proactive planning and liquidation strategies.
  • Review and analyze SKU performance regularly to optimize the product lifecycle.

4. Promotion & Pricing Support

  • Partner with marketing to conceptualize and execute promotional offers, bundles, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Evaluate promotional effectiveness and recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Support in pricing decisions to ensure competitiveness while maintaining profitability.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with planning, supply chain, marketing, and retail teams to ensure smooth execution of merchandising plans.
  • Facilitate clear communication across departments for operational alignment and timely rollouts.
  • Provide regular business updates, performance reviews, and actionable insights to senior management.


Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • 3 – 6 years of experience in merchandising, preferably within the

    Beauty or Cosmetics industry

    .
  • Strong understanding of the

    beauty category

    , including product trends, consumer behavior, and operational challenges.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and retail analytics tools.
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Eye for detail, with a passion for the beauty industry and customer experience.
