Mechanical Design Engineer | Expertise in Automotive Product Design & Development.

 A highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a passion for developing innovative automotive products. With a background in B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, I bring hands-on experience in the design and development of Plastic products and Electro-mechanical components for the automotive industry.  Preferably having 3-7 years of work experience in NPD roles

Key Skills & Expertise:

• Proficient in mechanical design tools such as Catia/Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Windchill
• Expertise in working with plastic components, die casting, and sheet metal design
• Skilled in design calculations, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• In-depth knowledge of New Product Development (NPD) cycles and Quality Management Systems
• Familiarity with APQP, PPAP documentation and processes
• Familiarity with operating 3D printers, CNC machines etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Leading the design and development of plastic models for automotive products
• Developing engineering details, mechanisms and DFMA to bring the product from concept to production
• Supporting all development phases, from requirements gathering to deployment
• Conducting peer reviews to ensure high-quality designs
• Analyzing and enhancing the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources
• Integrating and validating new product designs for production
• Providing support for mechanical QA performance and post-production troubleshooting
• Collaborating effectively with internal teams to meet project goals
• With strong communication skills and a proactive attitude, who can thrive in team environments, consistently delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions.
