Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead and drive excellence in our design function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, setting design workflows, ensuring technical accuracy, and integrating critical systems like PLM and ERP into our design processes. This role is ideal for someone with strong design expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for innovation and quality.

Role & responsibilities

(1) Lead and mentor a team of 2-5 mechanical design engineers.

(2) Define and implement the design process workflow.

(3)Review and validate technical drawings before release to ensure accuracy and completeness.

(4)Propose, evaluate, and implement design improvements and engineering solutions.

(5)Drive the integration of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) into the current design process.

(6) Support ERP integration within the mechanical design workflow.

Enforce high standards of quality, completeness, and precision in design documentation.

(7)Evaluate design feasibility with respect to assembly, machining, manufacturability, and serviceability.

(8)Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design objectives are met on schedule

Preferred candidate profile

(1) Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.

(2) Clear understanding of design release procedures and best practices.

(3) Solid knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

(4) Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Solidworks & PLM systems.

(5) Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering challenges and provide practical solutions.

(6) Experience with pharmaceutical machinery or related equipment is an advantage.
