The Manager/Senior Manager/Chief Manager - Strategic Verticals (Bancassurance Training) is an individual contributor role responsible for driving training initiatives for the Yes Bank-Max Life Insurance Bancassurance Partnership across strategic verticals such as Emerging Business Banking, Rural, Business Banking, or Spectrum Banking (Tele Vertical).
The primary focus of this role is to ensure the successful onboarding and capability building of Max Life Relationship Associates (RAs) and Service Providers (SPs) in the bank. The incumbent will work towards increasing counter share, enhancing people capability, and conducting branch-level trainings. This role requires strong collaboration with bank stakeholders at the zone and region level to align training initiatives with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding and Capability Building
- Drive the onboarding process for new Max Life Relationship Associates (RAs) and Service Providers (SPs) in the assigned vertical.
- Design and deliver role-specific training programs to ensure new joiners are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify skill gaps and create targeted learning interventions.
Branch Training and Engagement
- Conduct branch-level trainings to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement skills.
- Focus on increasing counter share by empowering SPs and RAs to effectively cross-sell and upsell Max Life Insurance products.
- Regularly visit branches to provide on-ground support, address challenges, and ensure training effectiveness.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as the primary training liaison for Yes Bank stakeholders at the zone and region level.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with bank leadership, including regional managers, branch managers, and sales teams.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, and operations) to align training initiatives with business goals.
Training Delivery and Execution
- Deliver in-person, virtual, and hybrid training sessions tailored to the needs of the assigned vertical.
- Focus on critical areas such as
- Product knowledge and cross-sell strategies
- Sales techniques and customer engagement
- Regulatory compliance and soft skills development
- Ensure training programs are engaging, impactful, and aligned with business objectives.
Performance Tracking and Improvement
- Monitor the performance of RAs and SPs post-training to assess the effectiveness of learning interventions.
- Provide feedback and coaching to improve individual and team performance.
- Use data-driven insights to refine training strategies and address performance gaps.
Vertical-Specific Training Customization
- Customize training programs to address the unique needs of the assigned vertical (eg, Emerging Business Banking, Rural, Business Banking, or Spectrum Banking).
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices relevant to the vertical.

Desired qualification and experience
Educational Background
- Essential Graduate in Business, Finance, or related fields.
- Preferred Postgraduate degree (MBA or equivalent). Certifications in insurance or banking (eg, LUTCF, LOMA, AIII) are advantageous.
Experience
- Manager 5-8 years of experience in training, sales, or operations within the insurance or banking sector.
- Senior Manager 8-12 years of experience, with a focus on bancassurance training or related roles.
- Chief Manager 12+ years of experience, with a proven track record of leading training initiatives in strategic verticals.
- Experience in individual contributor roles with a focus on stakeholder management and training delivery.
