Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager of Capex Procurement will oversee and manage the capital expenditure procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of capital assets such as machinery, equipment, and infrastructure. This role requires a professional with strong negotiation, strategic sourcing, and vendor management skills, combined with a deep understanding of Capex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing:

Develop and implement procurement strategies for capital projects.

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.

Conduct market analysis to anticipate trends and assess procurement risks.

2. Vendor Management:

Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and contractors.

Negotiate favourable terms, contracts, and service agreements with vendors.

Ensure vendor performance meets organizational standards in terms of quality, cost, and timelines.

3. Budget and Cost Management:

Manage and control Capex procurement budgets, ensuring compliance with financial objectives.

Monitor spending to identify and capitalize on cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

4. Contract Management:

Lead contract negotiations for capital projects, ensuring alignment with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.

Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts from initiation to execution and renewal.

5. Team Leadership and Development

Lead and mentor the procurement team, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and personal development.

Foster a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and best practices.

6pliance and Risk Management:

Ensure adherence to all internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Proactively manage procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions and contract disputes.
