About the Role: As a Senior Manager – Government Relations , you will be responsible for building and maintaining effective relationships with key government stakeholders at the central, state, and local levels. You will support the company’s public policy goals by tracking policy developments, advocating for regulatory solutions aligned with business interests, and helping the business navigate India’s evolving policy environment—especially in areas critical to quick commerce , such as urban logistics, labor policy, and digital regulation . This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives at the intersection of policy, operations, and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities: Government Engagement Establish and maintain relationships with government officials, regulators, and public institutions across India with a focus on Central Government and the North and East regions. Represent the company at government forums, industry associations, and public consultations. Policy Monitoring & Analysis Track and analyze regulatory developments affecting e-commerce, last-mile delivery, digital trade, employment laws, and sustainability mandates. Prepare briefing documents, internal notes, and position papers to inform internal stakeholders. Advocacy Support Assist in developing policy positions and advocacy strategies in coordination with the Public Policy leadership. Regulatory Navigation Support internal teams (operations, legal, compliance) in interpreting regulatory requirements and working with government departments to resolve policy or compliance challenges. Coordinate responses to government queries, audits, and consultations. Events & Representations Support the planning and execution of government visits, policy events, and stakeholder meetings. Prepare speaking points, presentations, and reports for leadership engagement with government and in policy forums. Required Qualifications: 5–7 years of experience in government relations, policy advocacy, regulatory affairs, or public affairs. Strong understanding of India’s policy and regulatory environment, preferably in sectors like e-commerce, logistics, consumer tech, or FMCG. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Hindi (or other regional languages, as relevant). Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Economics, or related field. Master’s preferred. Preferred Skills & Competencies: Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a solution-oriented mindset. Familiarity with urban governance, sustainability policy, or labor codes is an added advantage. Strong interpersonal skills and political acumen. Prior experience in working with or within a government body, industry association, or regulated business. Show more Show less
