Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Design & Engineering Support team for Railway Axle Counter solutions. The role demands deep technical expertise in fail-safe signalling products, embedded systems, and RAMS analysis, combined with the ability to engage with stakeholders across Indian Railways, RDSO, and internal teams. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for ensuring robust design support, compliance with international standards, and driving engineering excellence in both hardware and software domains.

What We’re Looking For

• Education/Experience: B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication (ECE) or related discipline with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Railway Signalling domain.
• Strong technical knowledge of fail-safe signalling product design (HW/SW) and embedded systems.
• Hands-on understanding of EN, IEC, IS standards and railway signalling & interlocking concepts.
• Expertise in RAMS methodologies including MTBF, RBD, FTA, and reliability calculations.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across all levels.
• Proven ability in project management, root cause analysis, and vendor/railway officer liaisoning.
• Ability to lead V&V activities, including FTR, with attention to safety-critical compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide design & engineering support for Railway Axle Counter solutions, ensuring compliance with safety, signalling standards, and RAMS requirements.
• Lead V&V (Verification & Validation) activities including First Time Right (FTR) checks to ensure quality and fail-safe product performance.
• Liaise with RDSO and SAG & above level railway officers to address design, compliance, and product approval requirements.
• Conduct root cause analysis of product failures, propose corrective actions, and drive engineering improvements.
• Manage engineering documentation, design reports, and ensure compliance with EN, IEC, IS standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams for project management, design support, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Support embedded system-based product development with a focus on innovation and reliability.
• Deliver technical presentations, training, and engineering support to internal stakeholders and railway clients.
• Foster a culture of strong interpersonal relationships and effective teamwork within the organization.
