Senior Manager Cluster Operations - Rest of Karnataka

Job Title:

Position Summary:

The Cluster Manager Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operational performance of multiple eye hospitals in the Rest of Karnataka region. The role ensures seamless coordination between clinical and non-clinical teams, compliance with hospital standards, achievement of financial and operational targets, and delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management

• Oversee smooth functioning of all assigned hospitals in the cluster, ensuring adherence to SOPs and quality standards.
  
• Monitor daily operations, OPD/IPD workflow, OT utilization, and patient service quality.
  
• Ensure availability and maintenance of equipment, instruments, and infrastructure.
  

2. People Management

• Supervise, guide, and motivate branch managers, department heads, and staff across locations.
  
• Plan manpower requirements, hiring, onboarding, and training in coordination with HR.
  
• Conduct periodic performance reviews and ensure team productivity.
  

3. Financial & Business Performance

• Monitor and drive revenue, profitability, and cost optimization for each branch.
  
• Ensure achievement of monthly and annual business targets.
  
• Track and control expenses, wastage, and budget deviations.
  

4. Patient Experience & Quality Compliance

• Implement and monitor patient care protocols and service quality benchmarks.
  
• Resolve escalated patient complaints and feedback promptly.
  
• Ensure NABH and other statutory compliance across all branches.
  

5. Coordination & Reporting

• Liaise between Head Office and branches for smooth communication and alignment of initiatives.
  
• Prepare and present periodic MIS reports on operations, financials, and KPIs.
  
• Plan and execute marketing and outreach activities in coordination with the marketing team.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership and multi-site management skills.
  
• Knowledge of hospital operations, preferably in ophthalmology/eye care.
  
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  
• Ability to analyze data and drive performance improvements.
  
• Willingness to travel extensively within the cluster.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate / Post-graduate in Hospital Administration, Business Management, or related field.
  
• 710 years of experience in healthcare operations, with at least 3 years in a multi-unit management role.
  
• Experience in eye hospital / specialty hospital operations preferred.
