Purpose/Objective


    Team member - Business Development oversees the entire business development function, identifying emerging markets, driving sales, and implementing marketing strategies. Manages high-level client relationships, strategic planning, and risk assessment. Ensures seamless project handovers, and leads a culture of excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Opportunity Identification: Analyze global market trends to identify emerging opportunities in the non-container sector. Evaluate competitors and market saturation to inform strategic positioning and secure new business. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate relationships with stakeholders. and lead contract negotiations aligning with commercial objectives and technical feasibility. Sales and Marketing: Drive sales, develop marketing strategies emphasizing technological and environmental stewardship, and set quantifiable objectives for market penetration and revenue growth. Project Analysis and Planning: Evaluate project viability, sustainability, and financial value to support strategic planning. Commercial Bids Strategy: Develop strategic plans for submitting commercial bids, balancing revenue maximization with market share expansion. Risk Management: Prepare detailed project reports with comprehensive risk assessments covering operational, financial, competition, client, market, and country factors. Digital Mindset: Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness. Key Stakeholders - Internal: Engineering Team Operations Team Finance Team Legal Team Secretarial team Land & Estate team Various Ports’ team of APSEZ Various Group Companies (primarily their BD teams) Key Stakeholders - External: Prospective clients, government and regulatory bodies, Trade groups, Comptetiors
