Job Post Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager – Asia Pacific Investment Promotion to drive international business growth, trade development and foreign direct investment (FDI) initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region. The ideal candidate will lead strategic outreach, identify high-value opportunities and build strong partnerships with businesses, government agencies and trade organizations. This role offers the opportunity to represent global markets, engage with senior stakeholders and contribute to impactful economic development and investment promotion across Asia.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, engage, and nurture high-potential companies across the Asia-Pacific region seeking cross-border expansion opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to attract new investment projects.
  • Facilitate investor meetings, B2B engagements and trade delegations of high quality and impact.
  • Design and implement regional strategies for trade and investment promotion.
  • Provide market intelligence, policy insights and sectoral analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Plan and deliver business development missions, roadshows and promotional events in key markets.
  • Build and manage relationships with investment promotion agencies, trade associations, chambers of commerce and government bodies.
  • Collaborate with international partners and internal teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery of project objectives.
  • Maintain and update the CRM pipeline for investor leads, meetings and project conversions.
  • Track KPIs and prepare detailed monthly and quarterly reports on business development outcomes.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups, investor support and conversion of opportunities into tangible investment projects.
  • Supervise and mentor junior project representatives supporting outreach and coordination activities.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Research, Human Resources and Business Development) to ensure smooth project execution and reporting.

 

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, International Relations or a related field.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in FDI promotion, trade development, international business or investment advisory.
  • Strong understanding of Asia-Pacific markets, trade policies and investment trends.
  • Proven experience in business development, client engagement and stakeholder management across multiple geographies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and government officials.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities, with proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools (such as Zoho or Salesforce) and data reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage teams and deliver outcomes under tight timelines.
  • High level of professionalism, cultural awareness and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for business development missions and promotional activities.
