Senior Manager -Accounts Payable

Job Description

JD : Senior Manager : Accounts Payable (Retail Industry-Only) Lead and oversee the accounts payable team in procure-to-pay processes, vendor management, and metric reporting. Manage high-volume accounts payable operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of PO and Non-PO invoices. Oversee vendor master data management, including creation, updates, and inactivation across systems. Participate in month-end close activities, financial audit preparation, and balance sheet analysis. Develop and implement process improvements and automation initiatives in the PTP cycle. Monitor contract compliance and expense variances. Ensure regular vendor reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies. Maintain internal controls within the PTP process to safeguard financial accuracy. Collaborate with business systems teams to optimize financial systems and operations. Prepare and present weekly metrics reports on invoice processing and team performance. Review and approve weekly disbursement batches and open PO reports. Manage the AP inbox, ensuring timely responses to vendor and employee inquiries. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and end-user documentation. Participate in audit preparations and PTP corporate initiatives. Educational and Skill Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred) Minimum 10 years of experience, including 5 years managing full-cycle accounts payable and 5 years in leadership roles Proficiency in NetSuite and other financial/accounting systems Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience in stakeholder management and ability to influence at all levels Expertise in systems implementations and automation Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead process improvement initiatives Strong interpersonal skills and team leadership abilities Show more Show less
