About the Role

Senior Portal Engineer


Key Responsibilities

  • Portal Development & Feature Design

  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and UI/UX teams to deliver intuitive user experiences.
  • Integrate APIs, microservices, and backend services into the portal ecosystem.

  • System Performance & Security

  • Ensure portal reliability, scalability, and high availability.
  • Apply secure coding practices and conduct vulnerability assessments.
  • Optimize response times and portal performance under high-load scenarios.

  • Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth feature integration.
  • Participate in sprint planning, design discussions, and code reviews.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers.

  • Support & Troubleshooting

  • Debug and resolve issues in development and production environments.
  • Maintain proper documentation of designs, APIs, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with QA and DevOps to ensure seamless CI/CD pipelines.

  • Continuous Innovation

  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry best practices.
  • Recommend and implement tools, frameworks, or processes that enhance engineering productivity.


Required Qualifications

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Experience:

    5–8 years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years focused on

    Network

    Monitoring Software application development

    .

  • Technical Expertise:

  • Strong background in

    Linux systems

    and

    networking fundamentals

    .
  • Proficiency in

    web frameworks

    (React, Angular, Vue, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of

    REST/GraphQL API development and integration

    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Elastic)

    .


  • Core Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.


Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Experience with

    Identity & Access Management (IAM)

    , SSO, and OAuth 2.0.
  • Familiarity with

    cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Knowledge of

    performance tuning, load testing, and monitoring tools

  • Understanding of

    security frameworks and compliance standards
