Role Purpose:

To support the Assistant Manager – Stores in managing day-to-day store operations including receiving, storage, preservation, issuance, and dispatch of materials in the MRO facility. Ensure proper inventory control, documentation, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in receipt, verification, and proper storage of incoming materials.
  • Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and binning of parts and consumables.
  • Support issue of materials against approved requests/indents.
  • Coordinate with Purchase, Quality, and User departments for smooth material flow.
  • Update stock records in ERP/SAP system on a real-time basis.
  • Assist in maintaining stock accuracy and conducting periodic cycle counts/physical verification.
  • Monitor shelf-life items and initiate timely actions for renewal or disposal.
  • Support bonded, customer-owned, and scrap material handling as per laid-down procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulatory standards, safety, and audit requirements.
  • Highlight discrepancies, shortages, or non-conformances to the Assistant Manager – Stores.


Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of storekeeping processes, inventory control, and material handling.
  • Understanding of aviation/aerospace MRO stores management will be preferred.
  • Good ERP/SAP knowledge for inventory transactions.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to work systematically with accuracy and attention to detail.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate in Commerce/Science/Engineering.
  • Diploma/Certification in Materials Management/Supply Chain preferred.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in stores/warehouse operations (aviation/aerospace/MRO industry preferred).

  • Accuracy of receipts and issues.
  • Stock record accuracy and variance control.
  • Compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
  • On-time support to maintenance and other departments.
  • Effective space utilization and safety in stores.
