Job Description


Role Overview

Large IT Services organization is looking for a seasoned UX Practice Head to build, scale, and mature the UX practice within the Experience HBU. This is a strategic leadership role requiring a strong blend of UX vision, delivery governance, presales ownership, practice P&L, and cross-functional integration.



Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the UX practice end-to-end, including vision, operating model, capability roadmap, hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Define and drive UX strategy for marquee clients, covering experience definition, user journeys, service blueprints, wireframes, interaction models, and enterprise design systems.
  • Establish delivery excellence standards through UX frameworks, playbooks, templates, governance models, and design quality reviews.
  • Partner closely with DXP (Adobe / Sitecore / Optimizely), Mobility, Modern Frontend, and Digital Marketing teams to deliver integrated, omnichannel experience programs.
  • Build and scale cross-functional UX pods comprising researchers, product designers, UI designers, content strategists, and design system engineers.
  • Own UX presales activities including solutioning, scope definition, estimations, storytelling, proposal development, and case study creation.
  • Evangelize design thinking and customer-centricity across business, engineering, and product stakeholders.
  • Manage the UX practice P&L, including utilization, pricing models, billing, margins, and revenue growth.
  • Create and maintain reusable UX assets such as design system accelerators, persona libraries, journey templates, accessibility toolkits, and usability testing frameworks.
  • Represent the organization in CxO-level client discussions, design councils, industry forums, and partner events.



Experience & Background
  • 15–22 years of experience in UX, with 5+ years leading large UX teams (40–200 designers).
  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale UX for large transformation programs, preferably in regulated and multi-market environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in UX research, information architecture, interaction design, and design systems.
  • Deep understanding of omnichannel journeys, total experience (TX), mobile-first design, and DXP-driven user journeys.
  • Experience working closely with engineering, product, and data teams.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, build structure, and lead senior stakeholder and CxO-level conversations.



Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design (B.Des / M.Des) in Digital Design, User Experience Design, or Interaction Design.
