Job Description

Senior Design Engineer (Electronics): Experience in New Product Development (preferably medical devices) and working efficiently to meet project deadlines. Experience in working with Robotic systems is preferable. Planning and creating system architecture based on requirements from cross-disciplinary teams Working knowledge of motors (DC Brushed, BLDC), sensors, motor drives, and analog & digital IOs is a must. Skilled in low power DC-DC power converter design (<400 W) (buck converter, boost converter, buck-boost converter). Sound knowledge of power management. Hands-on with the schematic design, PCB layout design with PCB Design Tool (Altium/OrCAD) in consideration with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA). Experience in verification and validation of PCB designs. Create and release the manufacturing files and bill of material for PCBA. Experience in operating under formal design processes which meet the requirement of ISO-13485 and designing products to meet requirements for IEC-60601 certification. Good knowledge of PCBA design control and manufacturing processes (Fabrication and Assembly). Skilled in embedded hardware design with 8,16,32-bit microcontrollers/microprocessors, DSPs. Skilled in board bring-up process and creating hardware-software interface documents. Knowledge of embedded communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN, etc.) Thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic design concepts and applications. Selection of wires/cables for the applications based on the requirements. Understanding of best practices for wire harnesses. Hands-on experience with testing tools like Oscilloscopes, DMM, Electronic Load, Function generator, Logic Analyzer Knowledge of MATLAB Simulink / PSpice / LTspice is a plus. Experience in working with cross-functional teams/domains. Defining electronic assembly procedures. Planning and designing test jigs for functionality tests. Drafting design input requirements, test protocols, test reports, and FMEA. Strong communication skills and cross-functional team coordination. Qualifications: Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electronic & Communications Engineering with 10-14 years’ experience. Show more Show less
