Senior Database Engineer

WE ARE HIRING: Senior Database Administrator / Data Engineer

Location: Ahmedabad, India

Salary Range:  Base salary + Special allowance

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working Time: 8.00 am - 5.00 pm

Working Mode: Hybrid (3 days in-office, and 2 days WFH)

Reports to: Data Architecture Manager

Key Responsibilities

Database Architecture & Management

Design and manage Microsoft SQL Server & Azure SQL environments.

Optimize performance, storage, HA/DR, backups, and query efficiency.

Apply best practices in indexing, partitioning, and data modeling.

Data Engineering & Integration

Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.

Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust data integration solutions.

Ensure efficient data flow into Azure Synapse & Microsoft Fabric.

Cloud Data Services & Automation

Manage Azure SQL, Synapse, Cosmos DB, Microsoft Fabric & Blob Storage.

Automate infrastructure using Terraform & IaC best practices.

Monitor, patch, and deploy data services in cloud environments.

Security & Governance

Enforce encryption, access controls, and data compliance policies.

Maintain thorough documentation for all data assets and processes.

Leadership & Collaboration

Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.

Partner with cross-functional teams to align data architecture with business needs.

What Youll Bring

- 6+ years in DBA/Data Engineering with enterprise-scale systems.

- Advanced expertise in SQL Server, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB.

- Proven experience with ETL/ELT, Azure Data Services, and Terraform.

- Strong skills in T-SQL, PowerShell, and Python.

- Certifications in data/cloud platforms (highly desirable).

- Excellent collaboration & communication skills.
