About the Agency

 

TBWA is a highly accoladed global creative agency, known for business-changing, culture challenging and award-winning ideas for brands. We’re particularly famous for introducing the concept of Disruption® to the market, later on trademarked, which remains at the heart of
everything we do.
Within that, the Disruption Accelerator is TBWA’s global centre of excellence for data. Based out of Singapore but servicing more than 30 offices worldwide, the Accelerator helps agency teams get to sharper, more disruptive ideas – by bringing rigour to strategy and creativity through deep
investigation of data and cultural signals. Over the last 7 years, this “data Illuminati” has grown into one of the most critical engines powering TBWA’s strategic and creative output.
Responsibilities

 

  • You’ll be involved in real-world projects for some of our biggest clients, supporting the Accelerator’s data strategy and analytics functions at a global level.
  • Translate data analyses into clear business recommendations to enable strategic decision-making.
  • You’ll be supporting the Data Directors and working with other strategists to interrogate data, turn it into disruptive insights, and deliver worldclass work to offices across the network – turning “I think” into “I know”
  • Investigate open-source and 3rd-party options creatively and turning them into insights that are easy to digest and meaningful.
  • Collaborate with other analysts, strategists, data science practitioners etc.
  • This role is for someone who is excited to learn and be part of an exciting and dynamic team
Qualifications

 

  • 3-5 years of experience with 2 potential routes to the role
    • Mid-weight / junior data planner or media planner
    • Analyst who has proven experience of identifying strategic opportunities
  • A demonstrable interest in the creative world (e.g. music, photography, painting, etc) as well as a fascination in where these worlds meet with one another
  • Attention to detail and pride in delivering the best quality work
  • A proven track record of turning data into meaningful and digestable, client-friendly outputs
  • Solid experience using syndicated and category data sources (e.g. GWI, YouGov, Statista, financial reports).
  • Able to problem-solve when data isn’t obvious — investigating open-source and 3rd-party options creatively, and turning them into insights that are easy to digest and meaningful.
  • Strong at synthesizing and storytelling: making data clear for strategists and clients.
  • Quick-thinking, adaptable, and commercially aware.
  • Collaborative by nature — working with other analysts, strategists, and markets to raise the quality of outputs.
  • Proficient in Excel and confident picking up new tools quickly.
  • Skilled in PowerPoint/Keynote with strong writing and presentation skills.
