We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Data Migration Specialist

with a strong background in

SQL, PostgreSQL

, and

Azure-based

database development. This role involves working on complex data transformation and migration projects as part of a full SDLC in an agile environment. You will be responsible for building and optimizing data migration pipelines, implementing scalable database logic, and ensuring data integrity across systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data migration strategies between complex systems and databases.
  • Write and optimize PostgreSQL queries, functions, procedures, views, and triggers.
  • Analyze and refactor existing SQL and PL/pgSQL code for performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams for sprint planning, estimation, and delivery.
  • Maintain secure credentials via Azure Key Vault and integrate with Azure PostgreSQL.
  • Support secure data access using Azure AD, Web API, and Functions.
  • Ensure high data quality, integrity, and compliance with security policies.
  • Troubleshoot issues, resolve system errors, and maintain documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in SQL and PostgreSQL development.
  • Strong experience in data migration and transformation projects.
  • Proven ability to develop maintainable database code for high-volume systems.
  • Hands-on with Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Functions, Key Vault, and authentication flows.
  • Deep understanding of performance tuning, query optimization, and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ability to work in fast-paced sprints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
