Role Summary:
The Learning Experience Designer will be responsible for the full lifecycle of learning design, from conceptualization and strategy to development, implementation, and evaluation. This role blends instructional design expertise with user experience (UX) principles to create impactful learning journeys that are not only informative but also intuitive, enjoyable, and drive measurable performance outcomes. We are looking for someone who champions the learner and leverages technology to create memorable and scalable educational experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and partner with learning consultants, advising on best practices for learning design, technology integration, and evaluation.
- Conduct thorough needs and gap analyses to identify performance issues and learning opportunities if required.
- Recommend appropriate learning solutions and formats.
- Lead and participate in the end-to-end design of diverse learning solutions, applying contemporary instructional theories and models to develop engaging content, experiences, and interventions.
- Design and develop innovative learning solutions across various modalities, including blended learning, e-learning modules, virtual instructor-led training (VILT), synchronous and asynchronous programs, microlearning, simulations, and performance support tools.
- Apply adult learning theory, cognitive science, and human-centered design principles (e.g., UX/UI) to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to extract and organize critical content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with learning objectives.
- Develop detailed design documents, storyboards, scripts, and prototypes for various learning interventions.
- Utilize e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, Vyond) and other relevant technologies to build interactive and visually appealing learning content.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Facilitate design workshops and review sessions, gathering feedback and iterating on designs based on learner needs and stakeholder input.
- Communicate effectively. Lead, influence or negotiate with others to achieve desired work results; utilize excellent client interaction
- and advisory skills.
- Leverage learning technologies (LMS, LXP, virtual collaboration tools) to deliver, track, and optimize learning experiences.
- Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in learning technology, instructional design, and learning experience design, including AI-powered learning tools and adaptive learning.
- Propose and pilot innovative approaches and technologies to continuously improve learning effectiveness and efficiency.
- Design and implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness, impact, and ROI of learning solutions.
- Analyze learning data and feedback to identify areas for continuous improvement and inform future design decisions.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor''s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, Educational Technology, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 9-12 years of experience in learning experience design, instructional design, or a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse learning solutions.
- Proven experience in curriculum design and development.
- Demonstrated expertise in applying adult learning principles, instructional design models, user experience design, and human-centered design methodologies.
- Proficiency with industry-standard e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360) and multimedia development tools (e.g., Vyond).
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and/or Learning Experience Platforms (LXP).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from conception to completion.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with SMEs and stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and adapt to evolving design challenges.
- Experience mentoring or leading a team of instructional designers and/or developers.
- Familiarity with AI tools for content generation, personalization, or learning analytics.

- Master''s degree in a relevant field.
