Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Execute commissioning and final handover of IPMS systems at project sites
• Conduct Harbour Acceptance Tests and Sea Trials as per approved test procedures
• Provide installation support, commissioning, and troubleshooting of IPMS hardware
• Manage time, quality, scope, and site-related expenses as per project plans
• Coordinate with engineering teams for issue resolution and change management at site
• Maintain regular reporting to the Project/Site Manager on commissioning activities
• Track site issues and ensure timely closure with stakeholders
• Prepare and support customer documentation and handover activities
• Document “Lessons Learnt” during commissioning to support process improvement
• Provide basic hands-on operational and maintenance training to customers when required
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and safe working conditions at site
  

Stakeholder Management

• Internal coordination with Operations, Engineering, HSE, and other support teams
• External interaction with customers and third-party equipment suppliers at site
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Electronics Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in control systems, automation, or commissioning roles
• Strong exposure to on-site commissioning in industrial or marine environments
  

Essential Skills

• On-site commissioning of control and automation systems
• PLC and SCADA-based systems and environments
• Analog and digital monitoring/control systems and I/O hardware
• Interfacing with third-party equipment using serial communication
• Knowledge of sensors and sensor technologies
• Understanding of structured programming languages
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings
• Proficiency in computer systems and Ethernet networks
• Willingness to travel extensively worldwide for extended durations
• Ability to work aboard marine vessels and in shipyard environments
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while being a strong team contributor
  

Desirable Skills

• Experience with IPMS systems
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, CANbus, Profibus)
• PLC programming using IEC 61131-3 languages
• Experience with PLC platforms such as Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Wago, or similar
• Marine systems exposure including automation, power, propulsion, navigation, or communications
• Experience with VME-based systems
