Location : Bengaluru, Karnataka, India - Remote-India (IST-centric collaboration) Contract type : Permanent Contract duration : Full-time Salary : $80,000/month We're an AI-native career platform connecting candidates with the best career opportunities. About The Role Join a rapidly scaling AI-powered tech company that is transforming email management. As a Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js), you’ll drive system architecture, from conceptualization to deployment, enabling low-latency and high-reliability services pivotal to our AI platform. Work closely with Product and Design teams to innovate, introduce cutting-edge technology, and create new microservices in an exciting startup environment. Responsibilities Build microservices in Node.js (TypeScript) with REST/GraphQL APIs using event-driven design patterns like Kafka and NATS Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes/ECS) alongside implementing DevOps best practices Shape technical roadmaps while breaking down epics and assessing trade-offs Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews Enhance system observability tools using OpenTelemetry and Prometheus/Grafana Lead incident post-mortems and ensure proactive measures for continual improvement Requirements Must be based in India with current work authorization Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience building production systems in Node.js (TypeScript/ES6+) Experience with relational database design (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and NoSQL/stream stores like Redis, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Kafka Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and deploying on modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) Familiarity with distributed-systems concepts (idempotency, retries, eventual consistency, CAP trade-offs) Solid communication skills for conveying technical details to business teams effectively Preferred Skills Experience in startups or fast-paced growth environments Knowledge of DDD, serverless architectures, event-sourcing patterns Security-minded development practices such as OWASP Exposure to front-end frameworks Application process The first step is a short video call with Holly, our AI recruiter, who works closely with the hiring team on this role.
