Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of accounting principles, hands-on experience with financial reporting, audits, and compliance, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, managing tax filings, supporting strategic financial planning, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IND-AS/IFRS/GAAP).
• Coordinate with external auditors for statutory and internal audits.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns including GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data, and produce financial reports or statements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist in evaluating and implementing accounting software, automation tools, or ERP systems.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and corporate policies.
• Lead and mentor junior accountants and finance team members as needed.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Legal, HR, Sales) for financial alignment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA / CMA preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Advanced MS Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with IND-AS or IFRS reporting.
• Hands-on experience in scaling finance processes in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Familiarity with contract accounting or legal tech industry is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
