Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Accountant based in Ahmedabad. The Senior Accountant will manage financial operations including reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and overseeing tax-related matters. Responsibilities also include budgeting, preparing financial reports, evaluating financial data to identify variances, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• General Accounting: Maintain and oversee daily accounting operations, including General Ledger (G/L), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and Accounts Payable (A/P), Banking, Invoicing & Billing

• Taxation: In-depth knowledge and handling of GST, Income Tax, TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), and TCS (Tax Collected at Source) compliance and filing.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely submission to management.

• MIS Reports: Lead the preparation of Management Information Systems (MIS) reports to track financial performance and assist in decision-making processes.

• Team Leadership: Mentor and guide Junior Accountants, ensuring quality control in day-to-day activities and improving overall team efficiency.

• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 4-5 years of proven experience in accounting and taxation.

• Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS, TCS, and other tax regulations.

• Proficiency with Tally ERP or any other ERP system is a must.

• Prior experience in generating MIS reports, month-end closing, and financial analysis.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to mentor and manage a small team.
