We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the accounting department in various financial tasks, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with audits. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, excellent organizational skills, and a high level of accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Financial Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data. Invoicing and Payments: Process invoices and payments, ensuring timely and accurate handling of all transactions. Expense Reporting: Manage and reconcile expense reports, verifying receipts and supporting documentation. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required. Budget Assistance: Help in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and monitor actual performance against budget. Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting software and maintain databases. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as needed. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally ) is preferred. Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Excellent organizational and time management skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
