Although our registered office is in Pune ,Operational Office is situated in Siliguri and head office is in Mumbai. You will be working from Siliguri and will be reporting to our CEO in Siliguri.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Siliguri. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing various accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations. The Senior Accountant will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and improving financial processes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze accurate and timely financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Statements, in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards.
  • Generate various financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian tax laws and regulations, including GST, Income Tax (TDS, Advance Tax), PT, PF, and ESI.
  • Prepare and file various tax returns accurately and on time
  • Assist in tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as required.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, assisting in their professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. M.Com or MBA (Finance) preferred.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) qualification is a significant advantage.
  • Minimum 4-7 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with at least 2-3 years in a Senior Accountant capacity. Experience in a manufacturing or trading environment is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and relevant tax laws.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
