Job Description

A Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial operations, preparing accurate financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Account Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger to ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately. Tax Preparation: Prepare tax returns and assist with audit preparations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Team Leadership: Delegate accounting tasks to junior staff and provide guidance and training as needed. Financial Analysis: Analyze complex financial records and reports to provide insights for budgeting and forecasting. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting department to enhance efficiency and accuracy. QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Experience: Several years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis. Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
