Job Summary:

Seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage bookkeeping, GST and TDS filings, and monthly financial closing. The candidate will ensure accurate financial records, compliance with tax regulations, and timely reporting to support the finance team's operations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records of all financial transactions.

Manage and execute GST filings timely and accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Manage TDS compliances within prescribed deadlines.

Assist in the monthly closing process including reconciliation of accounts and ledger maintenance.

Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Manage employee reimbursements.

Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.

Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable tax laws.

Prepare bank reconciliations, monitor cash flows, and assist with accounts payable and receivable as necessary.

Work closely with other finance team members to ensure smooth financial operations.

Support ad hoc financial analyses and reporting tasks as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Proven experience (3-4 years) in bookkeeping, GST, TDS filing, and monthly financial closing.

Strong understanding of Indian tax laws including GST and TDS regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ZohoBooks, or ERP systems). Practical experience in Workday accounting would be preferred.

Good knowledge of Excel for data management and reporting.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Preferred Attributes:

Certification in accounting or taxation is a plus.

Experience with audit support and bank reconciliation.

Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
